Vipers Wrap Up CCL T30 Season, Set Sights on T20

The Long Island Vipers have officially closed the book on their CCL 2026 T30 season, finishing 8th in Group B with a record of 5 wins, 6 losses, and one no-result. It wasn’t the finish the squad was chasing, but it was a season built on real growth — and the kind of hard-earned experience that shapes a team for the long run.
Early in the campaign, the Vipers showed flashes of the form that makes this club dangerous. A statement win over LI Titans — a commanding 154-run victory — and a gritty away win against Astoria Royals proved this team can compete with anyone in Group B on their day. Wins over Victory Cricket Club and LI Spartans down the stretch showed a squad that kept fighting even after the playoff picture had slipped out of reach. That resilience matters, and it’s something the club will carry forward.
At the same time, the Vipers know this season exposed some real areas to sharpen. Close losses — a 2-wicket defeat to Desi Lions CC – Dynasty, a 14-run loss to Singh Boys, a 5-wicket heartbreaker against Black Caps — were the difference between a mid-table finish and a genuine playoff push. Those are the fine margins: a tighter middle order, sharper fielding in the closing overs, smarter decisions under pressure. The coaching staff and leadership group have already identified these areas, and the work to address them starts now, not next season.
That’s what makes the road ahead exciting. With the T30 season behind them, the Vipers are turning their full attention to the upcoming T20 campaign — a format that rewards intensity, discipline, and the kind of fight this squad has already shown it has. Training and squad planning are underway, and the goal is simple: come back stronger, sharper, and hungrier than before.
To every player who pulled on the Vipers jersey this season, and every fan who showed up to cheer from the boundary — thank you! This club is built on community as much as it’s built on cricket, and that spirit doesn’t change with a final scoreline. The Long Island Vipers will be back on the field soon, and this time, they’re playing for redemption. Cricket in our blood. Community in our heart. See you at the T20.
